On June 28, 2014, we moved our free calendars to a new set of servers and new software.
Your calendar will keep exactly its same address on the web but will
also have a new address at brownbearsw.com. You can use either
one.
The address bar on your browser will show the brownbearsw.com address,
but your calendars.net address will continue to work. We transferred the premium calendars a week ago and will be transferring the multiple merging servers later.
To enable us to transfer all of your data completely, you should avoid
adding or editing events on your premium calendar during the period
6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Pacific Daylight Time) on Saturday, June 28.
The new system will use the latest version of calendaring server
software from Brown Bear Software, which has always provided the
software for Calendars Net. Brown Bear will take over the
administration of the calendars and provide much improved service.
The enhancements in speed and features will be very obvious.
A few features will be discontinued, as they will no longer be
necessary. For example, you will no longer be able to download your
complete calendar file, edit it on your own local computer, and upload
it back to Calendars Net. But the new system will be so fast and
reliable that you will not need to do that anymore.
If we have created any archived calendars for you, they will remain
available at the address we provided to you in previous email from
Calendars Net. For some weeks, we will continue to allow you to
download your entire free calendar file at File Downloads or your premium calendar file at Premium File Downloads. To create new calendars, go to BrownBear Software Free Calendars. For technical support, send email to helpdesk@brownbearsw.com.
Thank you for using our web calendar service.
